On 4Dec99 the AQSC AGM, Prize Giving, and End of Season Party, with free food, will start at 8:00pm. There will also be a special unveiling event. All members are asked to come along and support their Club.

21Nov99 Was the last racing scheduled at AQSC for this season. Graham Thompson is interested in joining in some of the winter racing at Hampton SC. Next year racing will start on 26 March.

15Nov99 The Autumn 99 news letter is now on line.

14Nov99 Although late in the season 9 boats enjoyed a good sail. Next Sunday 21Nov is the last racing of the season. Wednesday training has stopped as it gets dark to early.

6Nov99 Seventeen members met at Richard Cannon's and strolled up to watch the £11,000 worth of fireworks at Kempton Park give a glorious display. This was finished off with a social at the Club including delicious carrot and coriander soup made by Linda Wheeler and various other food brought by members.

16Oct99 The Autumn News Letter has been issued. A Computer crash caused a number of corrections to be omitted and on the front page some copies have 21st November for the Annual Dinner date instead of 20th November.

On 09Oct99 Social Saturday evening at the Club with Trivia Quiz and food at £1, also Saturday Sailing from 11am.

5Sep99 There were 13 boats racing in the afternon race; the most we have had this decade; John Botterill (the previous Sailing Sec.) couldn't remember that number before so probably the most since well into the 80s, 70s or earlier. Also there were 3 boats cruising making a total of 16 boats out; about 25% of our fleet. It was a real pleasure having the Club so active, well done and keep it up.

WEDNESDAY SAILING - A Training session and cruising now takes place on most Wednesday afternoons from about 4:00pm, subject to weather and the availability of Richard Cannon. Around 8 members have been getting on the water each week since the start of July. Richard will only go to the Club if he receives a phone call, please ring on 01932 786636 by mid-day Wednesday to check, If you arrive at the Club without phoning and he is not there please ring him from the Club and he should be able to be down in a few minutes.

Signets launchingAQSC members were very successful at the Signet National Championships with Richard Cannon 1st and Mark Hollamby 2nd.

FIREWORKS. The Sunbury Regatta takes place at Rivermead Island on Sat 14 August. It finishes with an illuminated sail past of boats and a good fireworks display from 21:00 hrs. The Aquarius rescue boat will be leaving the Club at 20:30 with members to view the displays from the River.
Any members interested in coming should arrive at Aquarius by 20:00hrs. Please E-mail or phone Richard Cannon on 01932 786636 if you are interested so I have an idea how many we will need to fit in the rescue boat.

04Aug99 The AQUARIUS REGATTA SAT & SUN 3rd-4th July was very well supported, in spite of clashing with the Wimbledon tennis finals. It was most enjoyable and successful with a good number of new members joining in. Click for Results
