11 December the Cheats Christmas lunch was very enjoyable and a great success; story to come; Photos by Frank Rainsborough, click on a photo to enlarge it, then you can use the left and right arrow keys to scroll though all the photos.

03 December The AGM, Prize Giving and End of Season Party went very well considering that two of the usual major contributors only returmed from holiday a few days ealier with Covid. Fortunately Nigel was able to attend and manage the Powerpoint presentation for the AGM. Graham Thompson had done a huge ammount of preparation for the AGM and helping Richard Cannon prepare the race results and prize winners. Diana Carpenter provided a lovely spread of food and Alastair Gray mulled wine and Peter Carpenter manned the bar for the party.

30 November is the end of Summer Time and it will get dark an hour earlier. To give more time to pack up the 15:30 race will move to 14:00 and there wil be no racing or patrol boat cover after tea today and on any future activity days until the start of the next season.

Saturday 22 October Working Party. Fantastic!! No not the occurrence of Halloween but the turn out for the working party, which was the most successful I have experience during my  membership of the Club. Story

Saturday 15 October Oktoberfest was very successful, 30 members had a delicious meal. Story

Wednesday 28 September Rodger did a great supper of very tender pork fillet, potatoes, brockley, carrots and apple sauce, with pudding for 21 members, all for £3.00. Photos by Frank.

September 17 Shakespearian Evening supper & entertainment; Story.

Wednesday  7 September A wet day and no one sailed. In the Evening Mike Hendra and Jean provided 14 members a lovely evening supper of Lasagne with salad followed by Apple Strudel with ice cream.

Wednesday 31 August Gordon Courtney provided us with a large supper of French style rustic cassoulet stew of beans with chicken and pork, and French bread, followed by a pear and apple crumble with ice cream.

Not much Southerly wind for sailing. The Topper and a Pico sailed and two canoes went out. There was a super supper evening for 19 members. Many thanks to Erica, a recent member, who bravely volunteered to prepare a bolognese sauce and Jacket potatoes followed by a huge portion of trifle; delicious.  

Wednesday 17 August  Many thanks to Jean and Mike Hendra for  a sumptuous supper of Gino D'Acampo's Anchovy Chilli & Garlic with gluten free spaghetti. Torrential rain meant no sailing.

07 August Fortunately more wind than forecast and sailng better than expected. Andrea and Megan Nettle crewed for Alastair Gray in the last race; their first sail and they loved it.

Wednesday 3 August 21 members, including recent new members, and friends had a great time sailing, kayaking and driving the patrol boat. Finishing with a chicken and chips supper social evening. Thanks to Nigel for organising it all.

Wed 22 June. Conditions were ideal for the cruise through Sunbury lock to the Weir Hotel for a pub supper. Warm steady East 1-2 wind for the 13 members and 5 boats. The return sail was very slow for Nigel and Rodger and they accepted a tow from above the willows; arriving back at 23:00

23 April  Diana Lea and Rodger Wheeler produced a super quiz with a huge Indian supper enjoyed by 22 members.

17 April  Good conditions for the Easter Egg event; E to SW 4 to 15 mph wind. 7 boats, including all the club Lasers, raced, 23 members at the club.

10 April  Only a light current and 3 boats but at lastwe managed to race.

27 March  Although not much wind for the start of racing it was E to NE which helped greatly and sailing was pleasant; unfortunately only one member sailed so racing was cancelled.

19 March  The Start of Season party was held at 15:00 so members could be outside for greater Covid safety. Glorious cloudless day. Sailing would have been very good; East 15 mph wind. Around 29 attended; Diana Carpenter provided baked potato, 3 pieces of assorted chicken and Coleslaw. For sweet there was a choice of 4 gateau.

22 January  Burns Nicht dinner was very enjoyable; story. Video by Gordon Courtney, 3 minutes.
