All the boats were checked on Sunday 14 January when the river level had dropped. They have all survived the flood OK but a few were moved off their trolleys by the high winds and in a couple of cases (Andy Ford and Tim Golding) covers were rendered unusable.
Anything in the lockers which was susceptible to water damage had been put well above flood level, but some of the canoe gear in locker 5 got a bit wet and Alastair has put it in the winter quarters to dry.
Order has been restored – with help from Graham, Bryan, Alastair and John B; both Andy and Tim have been emailed.
We took the opportunity afforded by the high water to float Tern onto its trailer and it is now in the carpark for some TLC. The process worked well – but the trailer tyres and jockey wheel need were not up to it.
