1 January Happy new year. Although water levels have dropped, the river is still running very fast and our reach is “red boarded”. Please be aware that following last week’s flooding the ground remains waterlogged and access to  the berths upstream of the Clubhouse is extremely muddy and not recommended. If doing so appropriate footwear is needed - please remove before entering the Clubhouse. Regrettably the New Years Day sail is therefore cancelled. However the Club will still be open from 12.00 noon and a simple “Pot Luck Lunch” – comprising jacket potatoes with a range of fillings followed by fruit crumble and ice cream etc. will be served at 1.00pm. No need to book. The bar will not be open in the evening.  With best wishes for the New Year. Nigel Knowles
