Indian Lunch -
This lunchtime event was the club's first social get together of 2009 and proved
very popular. From an initial take-
By 12:30am the bar was crowded and working overtime. Seventeen large bowls of food arrived from the 'Riverside' Indian restaurant at Hampton around the same time and were taken into the galley to be divided between the 4 tables.

The selection was enough for the most discerning palate. The meal started with Poppadums, pickles and chutneys. This was followed by Chicken Korma, Chicken Rogan, Chicken Kashmiri, Chicken Madras, Lamb Dupiza, Mixed vegetable curry, Bombay Aloo, Sag Aloo, Basamati Rice, Naan bread, Onion Bhaji and Pakora.
A dessert of fruit and ice-
After lunch the tables were cleared away and a variety of games commenced mostly pitting the youngsters against the oldies. The younger element took this very seriously; the same cannot be said of the 'mature' team; but before things got totally out of control Joan, Liz and Pat served tea and an amazing variety of Joan's home made cakes.
It was a highly successful afternoon and our thanks go to Joan and Liz for all their hard worked. Nice one girls! There was even a small profit made for the club.
