Race Start Times
Sailing Secretary
Race start times are scheduled for 11:30pm for the first morning event, 2:00pm for the first afternoon event and 3:30pm for the second afternoon event.
Some competitors have become very poor at being ready to race at these times and the Race Officer has often delayed starting a race to allow them to start with the others, this causing unnecessary waiting around.
It is the responsibility of competitors to be ready at the prescribed times and Race Officers should start races at the prescribed time even if it means a competitor starts late.
2009 Sailing Programme
A new format is to be introduced to Sunday sailing/racing this year, to give new
members and trainees a better sailing experience, as follows:-
11:30am Series race *
14.00pm Training/Fun/Cruising (TFC)
15.30pm Series race *
* Would members please note that the Management Committee has determined that from now on races WILL start at the published times (OOD's please note and arrive early enough).
There will be no exceptions. Please ensure that if you intend to compete in the series racing that you allow enough time to arrive, rig and be on the start line by the above times.
